Phone Numbers
Learn about the different number options, pricing by region, SMS capabilities, and how to verify and assign numbers to your assistants and campaigns.
Types of Phone Numbers
Dedicated Number (Rental)
Rent a local, national, or toll-free number directly from RepForce.ai. Works for both inbound and outbound. Billed monthly and supports multiple parallel calls per number.
SIP / PBX Integration
Connect your existing VoIP/PBX numbers via SIP to keep your current carriers while using RepForce.ai’s AI stack. Works for inbound and outbound; configure from the Phone Numbers section in your dashboard.
Outbound Caller ID (Masking)
Show your own number on recipients’ caller ID without porting or SIP. Verify ownership with an OTP or quick verification call. Outbound only — inbound calls to that number aren’t answered by the AI when used as masking alone.
Choosing the Right Option
Quick Guidance
- Need inbound + no VoIP today? Rent a Dedicated Number.
- Have established PBX/VoIP? Use SIP Integration.
- Outbound only with your existing number? Use Caller ID Masking.

Assign a Number to an Assistant
Steps
- Open your Assistant → Settings.
- Under Phone Numbers, pick a number from your RepForce.ai inventory.
- Save changes.
Usage
- Use for Inbound (AI answers calls to that number).
- Use for Outbound as the caller ID.
- The same number can handle both inbound and outbound.
Number Verification
Verify External Numbers
For numbers not rented from RepForce.ai (e.g., your existing line), verify ownership via OTP code or brief verification call. Once verified, the number can be used as outbound caller ID and, if connected via SIP/PBX, for inbound.
Verification status persists across assistants in the same workspace.
