Getting Started

Learn the fundamentals of RepForce.ai — the building blocks of your AI phone assistants and how usage-based billing works.

Core Concepts

1) System Prompt & Initial Message

System Prompt: This is the “brain” of your assistant — the rules and behavior it must follow, including disclaimers and edge cases. Example: “You are a helpful phone assistant for a toy company. Greet warmly, verify the caller’s info, and follow compliance rules.”

Initial Message: (Optional) The first thing the AI says, typically short. Example: “Hi, this is the Acme assistant — how can I help today?”

Tip: Keep the system prompt concise and explicit. Use bullets for policies and actions.

2) Voices

RepForce.ai supports natural-sounding voices via ElevenLabs and Vogent. You can clone a voice by providing audio samples (~1 minute recommended). Voices can be tuned for speed, filler usage, and accent.

3) Putting it Together

An AI assistant combines a System Prompt, an optional Initial Message, and a chosen Voice. You can add tools (e.g., transfer or end call). Assign the assistant to an inbound number or to an outbound campaign to go live.

Understanding Call Minutes & Billing

Usage Model

RepForce.ai operates on usage. You primarily pay for minutes your assistants spend on calls and for phone number rentals.

  • Included Minutes: Plans may include a monthly minute allotment; these are consumed first.
  • Pay-As-You-Go: If you exceed the included minutes (or choose a usage-only plan), additional minutes are billed as you use them.

How Minutes Are Calculated

  • Per-second billing: Calls are billed by the second and converted to minutes (e.g., 90 seconds = 1.5 minutes). No rounding.
  • Monthly reset: If your plan includes minutes, they reset on your billing date.
  • Add-ons: Buy extra minute bundles ahead of expected volume spikes.

Phone Numbers & Surcharges

  • Number rentals: Dedicated inbound/outbound numbers are billed per month by region (commonly around ~$4).
  • Carrier taxes/surcharges: Some regions/carriers add taxes or fees, especially for international calling.

Monitoring Usage

Your dashboard shows current usage, minutes remaining, and estimated cost. Set alerts with the Automate Platform:
